DON'T YOU LOVE IT WHEN YOU GET A GOOD CASHIER?

I was in a bit of a mood this morning when I went to the post office with Husband. He was being a bit slow, and I got a bit impatient, and when we got to the till, the guy was really patient and nice. And then he insisted we get an ISA from them, and when turned down, he insisted on giving us cashback, and when turned down he insisted we top up our mobiles. After we turned him down for a third time, he said 'oh well, have a lovely weekend' with a huge smile. It made my day.

I am also grateful for:

  • Naps
  • Not having obligations of any kind
  • Houmous
  • Sunshine
  • Hugs
  • Having money to pay the bills
  • Being in credit on my utility bill
  • My Husband. Again. Always.

  • Inspiring friends
  • Attendants who make you smile

APPLE AND BLACKBERRY CRUMBLE

Baking makes me feel calm and happy. It's another way for me to feel hopeful, if only for a small moment. I love chopping the fruit, and sprinkling it with sugar and cinnamon. I love mixing the topping with my hands, and the best part: smelling the house when it's in the oven. The whole thing is so warming and simple. It makes my heart sing. A lot.

Also:

  • Sleeping in
  • Heating
  • Kickboxing
  • Seagulls
  • Writing
  • Newly designed blogs
  • Conversations with Abraham (this will probably be on my list next week too)
  • Good tv shows

  • New face washes
  • Small amounts of snow

WHAT IF I TRY TO DO THIS EVERY DAY?

The whole point of this blog is to feel appreciation constantly, and posting this list once a week is not going to cut it. I am resolving to post here every day, or almost every day. Hopefully I'll remember to do it!

  • Morning kisses
  • Uplifting people
  • Good friends that send cards
  • Cinnamon

NEW YEAR

Apparently, I haven't been grateful for almost a whole month! How ungrateful of me, tee hee.

Anyway, I've been in a bit of a slump. Not having a job makes me feel unproductive, which in turn makes me feel a bit depressed. No excuse for being ungrateful though!

I am grateful for my husband. Always. Always for how amazing he is to me.
Also,

  • Cake
  • Warm living rooms
  • New beginnings
  • Hard disks
  • Gordon Ramsay
  • Cinnamon
  • Hot showers
  • Patience
  • Layering
  • Libraries
  • Ikea

CHRISTMAS SPIRIT. FINALLY.

When I went back to Mexico in March this year, my mom gave me a box of Mexican Hot Chocolate mix to bring home with me. I thought it was a waste of space because there are a million zillion trillion brands of hot chocolate mix here already and they are good. Also, it was quite hot there, and it was spring here and I really didn't feel like having any hot chocolate at the time. But I brought it anyway, because I am a nice daughter, and I also thought Husband would probably enjoy it. I am sooo glad I brought it back with me. It is true there are loads of great hot chocolate brands here but there is nothing like the familiarity of the flavours of childhood when one seeks comfort. Thanks mom!

  • Woolen jumpers

  • Long walks with husband
